Karmine Corp are one series from Swiss after two wins, while FURIA ended Cloud9’s run. Here is who won, who lost and the biggest surprise so far.

Worlds 2026 Play-In has quickly produced a clear story: Karmine Corp are one series from the Swiss Stage, while Cloud9 have become the first team eliminated.

Who won?
Karmine Corp opened with a 3-2 comeback over Cloud9 after trailing 1-2, then swept MVK Esports 3-0 in the upper-bracket final. KC are now through to the Play-In final.

MVK Esports began with a 3-0 sweep of FURIA, but could not carry that momentum into the match against KC. Their Swiss hopes now depend on the lower bracket.

Who lost?
Cloud9 lost 2-3 to KC and then fell 1-3 to FURIA in the elimination match. Their Worlds 2026 run is over.

FURIA recovered from their 0-3 opening loss to MVK by beating Cloud9 3-1. They remain alive and will face MVK in the lower bracket.

What was the shock?
KC’s speed of improvement has been the standout. A tense reverse-sweep win over Cloud9 was followed by a clean 3-0 over MVK, making Karmine Corp the strongest candidate for the sole Play-In place in Swiss. Cloud9’s early exit was equally surprising after they had been one win away from taking down KC in their first series.

What happens next?
FURIA and MVK Esports meet in a lower-bracket elimination match. The winner advances to face Karmine Corp in the Play-In final, with the Swiss Stage berth on the line.
