LOUD and Vitality book a Champions Shanghai upper-final showdown
1 min read
A three-map win over NRG and a clean sweep of G2 set up the October 16 meeting.

The upper final at VALORANT Champions Shanghai is set: LOUD against Team Vitality on October 16. Their October 10 wins secured top-three finishes, with contrasting routes through the semifinals.
Vitality shuts down G2
VLR reports a 2–0 win: 13–11 on Abyss and 13–4 on Split. G2 recovered to 11–11 on the opener before Vitality took the final two rounds. Derke and Chronicle combined for 35 kills on Split.
LOUD wins the decider decisively
LOUD beat NRG 2–1, taking Haven 13–9, losing Sunset 10–13, then winning Summit 13–3. VLR recorded 63 kills for lukxo and 50 for erde across the series.
Our replay watchlist
These scorelines invite two different questions. In a close map, watch how a team changes its positioning after the opponent catches up. In a lopsided decider, look at the rounds that establish the economy before focusing on the final margin. Those are useful lenses for a replay, rather than proof that one team is already destined for the trophy.
Published October 11: this report covers the October 10 upper semifinals, not Sunday’s lower-bracket results.
