VALORANT 13.06: Performance Score changes the post-match review
1 min read
A new performance measure and practice during matchmaking are two changes worth understanding when you return to VALORANT.

Riot’s September 22 update replaces Average Combat Score with Performance Score in Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay and Premier. The new measure runs from 0 to 500 and considers contributions beyond damage and kills. It also determines scoreboard position and MVP in those modes.
Read the explanation behind the number
Our advice is to use the end-of-game breakdown as a question prompt, rather than treating one number as a complete verdict. Compare what you intended to do with what actually happened. A useful review should end with a decision you can practise in the next match.
Warm up while waiting, where supported
The patch also introduces access to the Range during matchmaking. Riot excludes Premier, Deathmatch and modes without Agent Select from queueing through the Range.
Check the available option in your lobby before building a routine around it. A short, repeatable warm-up can give your session structure; it is not a guarantee of better results. The official notes below contain the broader update, including progression and client changes.
